Interfacing and Mediation: The word "interface" is defined as the "point where two systems, subjects, organizations, etc., meet and interact." For different fields to interact with each other in an efficient, comprehensive, and knowledgeable manner, there must be a go-between with knowledge and experience in all areas. Garbe's Mechanical Consulting is pleased to function as this mediator and offer our extensive knowledge of construction and engineering processes. We interface between engineering and construction, as well as between civil, structural, process, mechanical engineering, and design.
Engineering Development and Review: Garbe's Mechanical Consulting proofreads and edits mechanical and structural drawings to bridge the gap between the engineering, construction, and fabrication processes. We have experience conducting these procedures in the areas of operation and preparation of instrumentation diagrams and isometric drawings, as well as implementing necessary changes due to field dimensioning and surveying. Furthermore, we have advanced knowledge of different engineering fields and can develop cut sheets as needed for fabrication using the Acorn drawing program.
Troubleshooting and Quality Control: To ensure the utmost quality, we provide thorough project estimation and reviews to troubleshoot constructability issues. We pay careful attention to quality control, particularly as it relates to documentation and drawings (including isometric, orthographic, P&ID's and M.F.D.s). In reviewing specs and P&ID's, we have much better control of PVF purchasing. Our input drastically reduces the amount of incorrect material purchased and greatly minimizes the accumulation of surplus material. Reducing surplus material is important, as it saves a great deal of money and time in restocking charges for pipe, fittings, and valves, which can be very expensive and difficult to return.
